{"id":357,"date":"2014-02-17T21:30:50","date_gmt":"2014-02-17T21:30:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/paleofoodcooking.com\/?p=357"},"modified":"2014-02-17T23:12:39","modified_gmt":"2014-02-17T23:12:39","slug":"paleo-salisbury-steak","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.paleofoodcooking.com\/?p=357","title":{"rendered":"Paleo Salisbury Steak"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_356\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.everydaypaleo.com\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-356\" class=\" wp-image-356 \" alt=\"Courtesy of: www.everydaypaleo.com\" src=\"http:\/\/paleofoodcooking.com\/paleo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/IMG_3340.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.paleofoodcooking.com\/paleo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/IMG_3340.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.paleofoodcooking.com\/paleo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/IMG_3340-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.paleofoodcooking.com\/paleo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/IMG_3340-332x221.jpg 332w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-356\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Courtesy of: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.everydaypaleo.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.everydaypaleo.com<\/a><\/p><\/div>\n<p><em><strong>Steaks:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 pounds of ground beef<\/li>\n<li>1 cup spinach, finely diced<\/li>\n<li>1 egg<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon crushed garlic<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon sea salt<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon dried thyme<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd teaspoon rubbed sage<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc teaspoon ground marjoram<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc teaspoon finely ground black pepper<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons grass fed butter, ghee, or coconut oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Gravy:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 tablespoons butter<\/li>\n<li>1 red onion thinly sliced<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd red bell pepper thinly sliced<\/li>\n<li>2 cups sliced crimini mushrooms<\/li>\n<li>1 cup beef broth<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc cup coconut milk<\/li>\n<li>Black pepper to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Directions:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In a large mixing bowl place all the ingredients for the steaks and using your hands mix well.<\/li>\n<li>In a large skillet, heat the butter over medium high heat. \u00a0While the butter is melting, form the hamburger mixture into thin oval patties (makes 7-8).<\/li>\n<li>Place the patties into the hot melted butter, make sure it sizzles, you want the pan to be nice and hot! \u00a0Cook for 2 minutes on each side, the meat should be nice and browned on both sides.\u00a0 You\u2019ll have to cook these in batches so add more butter or coconut oil if necessary. Once all the steaks are done, place in the oven to keep warm and now it\u2019s time for the gravy!<\/li>\n<li>In the same pan that you just cooked your steaks in, melt the butter over medium heat.<\/li>\n<li>Saute the onions, bell pepper, and mushrooms in the butter until tender, about 7-8 minutes.
